The riots that took place across France in 2005 has some similarities to those which took place in England in 2011, particularly when analysing their trigger points and the communities affected. However, they differ widely in the response by politicians and law enforcement officials and the way in which the actions spread to different areas of the country.
The first democracy has a series of structures which we consider intrinsic to the ideal of democracy, and although a construct of its time (with those allowed to take part in this democratic process being limited), the idea of democracy (Dēmokratía: rule of the people), is consistent with the idea of the Agora, a public space which facilitates its key functions.
This diagram explores the economic cycle of growth and debt as a cycle which systematically requires greater investment with each turn of the wheel. By understanding the mechanisms of this process, it is possible to see the systematic crashes as an imbedded mechanism of the cycle, unless the key factors used to evaluate risk and commodities in society is readdressed.
